As the Owner's Architect, GRW provided planning, site development and architectural/engineering services for the design/build construction of coil steel warehouses and office facilities in Georgetown, KY, and Princeton, IN. GRW prepared A/E drawings including infrastructure analysis/design, road alignment, building siting, bid documents for each warehouse, stormwater management, rezoning and associated grading. GRW also acted as the Owner's advisor during the RFP preparation to solicit Design/Builders, and during construction of the facilities.
Facilities in Georgetown included a new coil steel warehouse, roadways, rail spurs and parking. The Georgetown coil steel warehouses supply all the metal used in the fabrication of automobiles at Toyota Motor Manufacturing’s Georgetown facility. The coil steel is used to stamp out the fenders, doors, roofs, etc. Facilities for the Princeton Service Center included a phased three-bay warehouse for steel coil storage with traveling bridge cranes, two office facilities, a general-purpose warehouse, roadways, rail spurs and parking.
